Mission Statement: The Parker Brothers Organization is committed to the development of young men through creating healthy and positive alternatives. The PBO seeks to create men of standard by mentoring, educating, encouraging, supporting, motivating, and counseling today’s youth.
Goal: Create Men of Standard, Leadership and Responsibility through:
Mentoring – providing trusted guidance for success
Education – instructing and developing knowledge
Encouragement – inspiring courage, spirit, and hope
Support – upholding emotional and physical stability
Motivation – stimulating positive action and involvement
Counsel – advising on proper decision making
Colors: NAVY BLUE & SILVER symbolizes Importance, Confidence, Intelligence, Unity, Distinguished Character, Glamour, and Riches!
Points System and Membership Maintenance: A Parker Brother can earn points are earn in 6 categories:
Education – points based on grades received on Interim Report cards A = 4 points, B = 3 POINTS, C = 2 POINTS, D = 1 POINT (correlates with GPA scoring) Athletics – points can be earned for full-season participation on a school sponsored athletic team 15 POINTS can be earned for participation and completion of an athletic season 5 BONUS POINTS is earned if the participant is awarded Team Captain or MVP by the team Home – points based on monthly written report by parent or guardian A maximum of 5 POINTS per month can be earned based on parent’s observation
Church – points based on attendance to Sunday (or Saturday) Weekly Church Service 1 POINT earned for Sunday (or Saturday) School Attendance 1 POINT earned for Sunday (or Saturday) Church Service Attendance - Pastors will need to sign-off verification each Sunday (or Saturday).
Community – points based on community, tutoring, and PBO fundraising involvement 1 POINT per hour of community service, tutorial assistance, and PBO fundraising activity
Keeper Observation – points based on Parker Brothers’ Keepers’ observation A maximum of 10 BONUS POINTS can be earned each quarter
Parker Brothers’ Membership is maintained and reviewed through earning points Points are tallied during 4 quarters of the year 1st quarter – July-September 2nd quarter – October-December 3rd quarter – January-March 4th quarter – April-June
Rewards and Probation are determined at the end of each quarter Any Brother not earning at least 40 points will receive probation for 2 quarters Any Brother receiving 60 points or more will receive special acknowledgement The Brother with the most points will be named PARKER BROTHER of the QUARTER! The Brother with the largest point total improvement from previous quarter will be named the MOST IMPROVED PARKER BROTHER of the QUARTER! The Brother with the most points earned at the end of the year (June) will be named the PARKER BROTHER of the YEAR! The Brother with the largest improvement during the year (based on point improvements and Keeper Observation) will be named the MOST IMPROVED PARKER BROTHER of the YEAR!

Meeting, Open Gym, and United Way event: Saturday, September 6th – 10am–2pm at the M-M Recreation Department
Mayodan Homecoming Fundraiser and Member Registration: Saturday, September 13th – 10am–4pm -Mayoda
